1980 Porsche 911 SC in Copper Metallic Brown
We have a beautiful and quite rare 1980 Porsche 911 SC Sun Roof Coupe finished in the very desirable Copper Metallic Brown with the original black leather interior. This has matching numbers, original engine, high-performance European delivery vehicle. It has 98,275 miles on it since new.
From the seller:
I purchased the car last year from a mature collector in the state of Virginia, where winters are barely an event. The car was and appears always to have been garaged. The paint in some areas appears to be totally original. There is absolutely no evidence of rust or of any accident history. The lines are crisp and straight. The doors open and close like a German vault. The depth of the luster of the paint seems very good, in fact on the excellent side, especially for a car approaching its 40th birthday.
The interior is awesome. The leather is original and in perfect condition throughout, as is the dash and side panels. The carpeting is from day one and perfect. I have purchased a brand new black leather headliner and sunroof panel, and hope to have it installed prior to its sale.
This is a European production car. It is fitted with beautiful smaller bumperets, and slightly lower suspension. The Fuchs wheels are original; however, they are in such wonderful condition that I might deduce that they were taken off from regular use for a period of time. The 16 inch Cooper CS3s are brand new. The brake calipers were rebuilt, and the car stops on a dime. The fuel cell was removed and cleaned and the electronic fuel pump replaced so as to provide reliable and clean fuel.
The fuel injection was upgraded to a performance system by Blitz. This increased the output by an additional 35BHP. The air filtration was also enhanced with an Edelbock System to accommodate the extra power. This is one fast 911! We fit the car with brand new OEM US headlights for a number of reasons. Primarily, because I prefer the clean US look.
The car fires right up and has a wonderful exhaust tenor. I believe the exhaust to be OEM, it just sounds awesome. Extra keys and owners book provided. Thankfully it retains its original perfect steering wheel.
To the astute observer, there is no right side door mirror. This is a right side mirror delete option. Go figure! I have placed the car at a price of 35,000 dollars, and I feel it is worth every penny of it. However, I am involved in several other and equally interesting projects.
I have included the VIN and a copy of the clear Virginia title with no liens, loans or nasty salvage history. This is a clean and transparent offer. If you want a rare and appreciating air cooled 911SC, this may the one for you.
The car is located at my home in the scenic and quaint hamlet of Bedford Village, NY. Only 42 miles north of Times Square and just minutes from Greenwich, New Canaan and Danbury, Ct. Come for a visit, lets take a ride and check it out!
